I first arrived to Buenos Aires at 12 am, being already late to meet Sole and Mary because of the rain. The road was closed at some point because it was flooded so we had to take another road, it was a detour of almost 120 km, so yeah, fuck you weather.
When we finally got to pick Sole and Mary up, the rain stopped, and we met Soph and Mech right outside the venue (Ciudad de Buenos Aires), it seems we arrived at the right time because they were soaking wet (especially Soph). The line was huge already, like 2 blocks of pure black-clothed freaks. (No really, I'm not judgmental, but my, it was almost scary XD Worse than the Black Parade people! lol) But thanks to Facu, we cut into it at the very beginning (got some nasty looks from the rest, but meh, not like I cared). We then left him there and went with Soph and July to McDonalds, where I met Javi (It was so nice to see her again!) and well, ate. XD I was starving!! It was around 2 pm atm, and the doors were supposed to open at 6 pm.
After we went back and hung out awhile, around 3 pm or so, we saw some of the people from the line start running and we followed, ending up at the corner of the street, where the main gate was. (And we were even closer! Yay!) Bored out of our minds, we started joking around with our cellphones (Lmfao, dancing Michael Jackson in the middle of the line pretty much ruled) and some guys that were before us joined us, I have no idea who they were but it was pretty nice (: Haha.
Then, on the opposite sidewalk from where the line was, the guy from Bonsur (a crappy Argentinian band that was Placebo's support band for the show. They copy everything from The Rasmus D:!) appeared, so some people started shouting things at him. (Especially July, who is kinda infatuated with the guy, she was all "I'D RAPE YOU AGAINST A WALL MOTHERFUCKER!!" O.O) So I got a nice laugh off that.
Around 6pm, the line started moving a little, but it was fucking nerve-wrecking because they'd make us move then stop. We seriously wanted to kill the guys from security. At the time, me and the girls tried to hide the cameras and the batteries. (Batteries in the shoes, cameras in bras or inside our jean's crotches, lmfao.) So we were all "Dude, we're transexual, there's nothing wrong with that". I had Soph's camera inside my jeans and it really seemed as if I had a bulge, lmfao. At some point around 7 pm, the line finally moved though they let guys go up first. Us girls had our purses and backpacks checked (which was pretty stupid since they didn't actually look, they just eyed it for like, a nanosecond and then let you in) and then went in.
We started making the run for it, we wanted to be first, but the batteries I had on my foot went down to my sole and god, I suffered like a motherfucker. I stopped to take them out then started running again, and when we finally got to the stage we were right in front. I was behind Mary, Sole and Chelu with Soph... Javi and her sister were behind me. We were like, less than 2 meters away from the stage (bloody amazing!). The stage was beautiful, with all the lights and stuff.
Around 8 pm, Bonsur started playing... they weren't all that bad, I mean, I don't like them, but I don't think they sucked live. At first everyone were screaming crap at them and throwing things, but eventually they just went along with it, jumping and stuff. (A lot knew the lyrics, lol XD). People were already pushing against us and I was like oh boy, if it's like this with Bonsur, I don't want to know how it'll be with Placebo. (Soph was right, we should have stayed near the sides, because no one was pushing there). They covered Placebo's "Where is my mind", which I didn't like at all, but at least they tried.
After Bonsur was over, we had to wait another 30 mins for them, and I had this guy behind me that was squeezing me against Chelu to death. (Before Placebo even started, Chelu said she couldn't take it anymore and left, I really should have followed her >.<)Then there was this girl to my left side that was trying to move me so that she could go closer and it pissed me off, though she couldn't do it because some guy pushed her behind. I was growing impatient and sweating like a bitch, some guy was even pressing his crotch against my waist, ew.
FINALLY around 9:30 pm, Steve appeared, going to his drummset and waving with his hands. The crowd started screaming and then after 2 minutes Stefano appeared, going to stand over one of the speakers and opening his shirt, arms raised in a God-like pose, lol. He took his guitar and started strumming a few cords, Brian making his appearance a few moments after it. And oh God, the guy does look good in pictures, but in real? OH MY FUCKING GOD HE LOOKS FUCKING FANTASTIC! I honestly gasped and stared for like, the whole first song (They started with Infra-red). This was it, I sung along and kinda tried to ignore the constant pushing, until the 3rd song, which I don't even remember (Err, I think I was Drag, I don't really remember. I know the 2nd was Meds though, but I was hardly able to pay attention) That's when I couldn't take it anymore, people were really squeezing the life out of me, I couldn't breathe properly and my whole body hurt, so I decided to leave. I started pushing my way out and I felt people tugging my purse, which I quickly held against my chest for dear life as I slowly tried to get away from the sea of people. Some guy pushed me and I almost fell, but this girl helped me up before I did, it was the worst thing ever. When I thought I was gonna make it out okay, somebody poked me hard right on the eye, and some other dude gripped my wrist and grabbed hold of my camera, quickly ripping it from my grip. I tried to see who it was but my eye hurt and people kept pushing, I even screamed but it was to no avail.
When I thought I was about to fall again, a guy took me by the arm and pushed to the other side, so that I'd be still. He was really nice! Until I could finally get out of that ocean of people. Just as Soph had said, at the sides people wasn't pushing and you had a great view, so I watched for awhile before going to look for ice for my eye. Once I got some, I came back to the side and watched them from there, obviously it was not the same thing that having them right in front of me, but at least I was seeing them. I really think they were the only reason that held me up from freaking out because of my stolen camera, until Mary also came out and found me. We stood together and sung along to the rest of the songs, I don't remember clearly but I think they were One of a Kind, Special K, Taste in Men, Running up that hill, The Bitter End and 20 years. Those were the last songs, I can hardly remember the rest because I wasn't even listening when I was trying to make my way out of the crowd.
I remember Brian being all diva and screaming "WHAT?" into his microphone, the crowd roaring the lyrics back at him. Then Stefano showing off with his guitar, the guy seriously believed he was god or something that night. Brian's Spanish accent sent me off into a fit of giggles and just remind me even more how much I adore the guy. He can be all cold and shit but God, he's adorable. Right before the end, while they were playing 20 years, Brian threw himself to the floor and kept playing there, until Stefano came closer and stood before him, and okay, I nearly died XD. Brain literally had Stefano's crotch on his face, until Stefano himself sat with him and played like a mad man. (Brian's ass crack could be seen right through the giant screen, lmfao.)
Even after all the shit that happened - the pain, the pushing, the camera - I had a great time. I sweated, I screamed, I cried... everything all together. People here do suck, but for Placebo? It was definitely worth it. I wish I could have met them though. *sigh* But oh well, if you guys feel like watching it, the whole concert is on youtube. I'd put the links here for you but I'm feeling lazy right now, haha, so... go look for it (:
CAN'T WAIT FOR WHEN THE USED'S COMING!!!
